This article summarizes widely known inconsistencies of the official reports of what happened on the day of September 11, 2001 by compiling and presenting research of such individuals as Alex Jones, Paul Thompson, and Alan Miller.
The strongest evidence shows the 9/11 attacks being an 'inside job' for the purpose of empire building and war profiteering. Enough information exists to show elements of Western governments at least having full knowledge of the attacks and taking many steps for ensuring their success, and possibly even planning the attacks by making use of government connected insiders from around the world.
This article is broken into many pages, each covering a different aspect of the issue. This project is a work in progress, new content and sections are added frequently. All information presented here is backed up by mainstream media reports, much of the citations are compiled by Paul Thompson's project "The Complete 911 Timeline" on the Cooperative Research website.

Past Examples of Government Sponsored Terrorism
Throughout history, governments have been staging or facilitating attacks against themselves for the purpose of creating public support for being drawn into conflict. The United States has a long history of such behavior, nearly every major war it has fought had been brought about through the use of this tactic, including World War II and the Vietnam war.

Blocked Investigations Before and After the Attacks
There is much documented evidence of important investigations being intentionally blocked before and after the 9/11 Attacks. Prominent individuals have come forward to expose government cover ups and have subsequently been fired or have had gag orders placed on them for reasons of "national security," such as with the case of FBI translator Sibel Edmonds. Prior Warnings of the Attacks
There have been hundreds of warnings issued prior to the 9/11 attacks which the government had ignored and then denied receiving after the attacks took place.

Drills Before and During the Attacks
In the months leading up to the attacks of September 11 as well as during the attacks, the government was engaging in many drills and exercises which helped facilitate the attacks being successful as well as ensuring rescue workers being coincidentally prepared to immediately deal with the aftermath.
This page shows the many drills and exercises which ensured little military presence on the day of the attacks and confusing the available military by drills being carried out which were very similar to the actual attacks. Also exercises by rescue workers at both the World Trade Center and Pentagon ensured them being mobilized earlier in the day before the attacks had even taken place.

The Money Trail
There has been much suspicious activity related to financial matters regarding the September 11 Attacks. Insider trading had occurred prior to the 9/11 attacks, including "put" options on the stocks of United and American Airlines, which are bets that the price of the stock will go down. Upon further investigation it has been discovered that firms with CIA and other government connections had been making many of the suspicious transactions. Also many accountants died in the Pentagon attack under a suspicious circumstance leading to enabling widespread potential fraud.

George Bush at Booker Elementary School
Knowing the behavior of key individuals on the day of the September 11 attacks is revealing, as the following information on this page shows.
On the morning of September 11, George Bush was giving a well-publicized photo-op at the Booker Elementary School in Sarasota, Florida. After learning of the second tower being hit, and knowing for certain that the nation was under attack and knowing that he could be a target, Bush did not bother to leave the school and in fact gave a speech surrounded by woman and children a full 25 minutes later.
